This is the trilogy of how Luke Skywalker created the Jedi Academy. In this book, Han and Chewie are taken captive by Moruth Doole in the spice mines of Kessel. There in the mine, Han and chewie meet Kyp Durron, a Force-powerful prisoner who helps them escape. Then they are captured by Imperials who are from the Maw, a large group of black holes near Kessel. There, they find out about the sun crusher, a weapon that's as powerful as the Death Star. They escaped and the New Republic sent a fleet to go crush them. Meanwhile, Luke founded the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. He had 12 Jedi initiates. Luke taught them about the light side. But on the planet the spirit of Exar Kun, the dark lord of the Sith still remained. He corrupted Gantoris, who turned against him and died. Then he corrupted Kyp, who resurrected the Sun Crusher which had been sent into the center of Yavin. Together they also put Luke into comatose. Eventually the Jedi initiates and Leia and her children exterminated the evil dark lord of the sith, Exar Kun. They also put the Sun Crusher back into the center of Yavin's core.

This series of 6 books introduces the young twins of Leia and Han. Jacen and Jaina have just entered the Jedi Academy. One of their friends are Tenel Ka, the daughter of Prince Isolder and Teneniel Djo. Tenel Ka is a Hapan Princess, but her friends think she is just a plain warrior from Dathomir, and she wants to keep it that way. Another one of their friends is Lowbacca or Lowie for short. He is Chewie's nephew and is an excellent electrician and computer programer. This series is actually a group of mini-stories that all have one thing in common: the battle against the Shadow Academy. The Shadow Academy taught the dark side of the Force. I really recommend this series for teen readers.

This series traces the ongoings of the Diversity Alliance and the bounty on Bornan Thul. The young Jedis have to rescue Bornan Thul from the Diversity Alliance. The Diversity Alliance is a group of aliens that hate humans. Bornan Thul has something that the leader of the Diversity Alliance needs. The young Jedi knights go through several adventures in this series.
