This is my impression on how the song and solos are played. If the tab doesn't
not align especially in the solo tab part (ie the lines ---| are stuffed up)
then take of the text wrap. For example if you are reading this in Wordpad,
go to View -> Options -> Click 'Text' Tab -> Wrap to Window.

Now the solos:
The \'s are slides - John uses a slide. The ~ are to hold a note
etc.. The timings aren't correct but are easily learnt by playing
along with the CD. The b's are bends but you will have to improvise
on how far to bend them. It's impossible to tab those things out
on a text file.
