Throughout my life, I have always had dogs, beginning with my boxer, Gertrude.  At the ripe old age of 11, I was given a show quality golden retriever, which I trained and showed locally on Long Island.  As a teenager living on St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, I was given a beautiful basset hound, which along with my two mix-breed dogs, were my constant companions.  During high school, I worked for a vet on weekends.  Actually it was to pay for both my bassett hound, who was a hemophiliac, and my horse.  As an adult, I owned and ran an equestrian facility for several years.  I trained both riders and horses, worked with special Olympians, and worked with a thoroughbred breeding program.  I am a teacher with a masters degree in elementary education and have been a science and art teacher for the past few years.  My classroom holds a multitude of animals, such as guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, fish, lizards etc...  I have been into bulldogs for the past four years and began serious training with them about a 1 1/2 years ago.  Over the past years I have had other dogs, but when I bought my first American Bulldog, Rock, I became obsessed with this incredible breed.  These dogs have all the qualities I love; they are personable, funny, hard working, and loyal.  I cherish my time with these wonderful clowns.
