Buddy (#1) was one of the first Dals that I owned. He taught me much and was loved just as much. He excelled in the breed ring beyond my wildest dreams, earning two BISS along with some Group placements.
One of my precious memories of him was a few years before he passed. We attended the DCA National Show in Detroit as spectators. Buddy had become arthritic, but he drank in with enthusiasm seeing his old friends and watching the show. We went to my parents after and as Buddy walked in the door, my Mom asked him "Buddy how was the show?" He gave her the biggest Dally smile he could! He hadn't smiled in a few years. He had understood exactly where he had been and what my Mother had asked. He is sorely missed.
Buddy had a strong topline, wonderful movement and a beautiful head, besides his great personality.
