TOP MARKS SECOND CHANCE, CD

Hi, I'm Chance!

Chance came to us just like the last three; either somebody lost their dog and didn't respond to our ads or somebody dropped their dog off and we were fortunate enough to find them! We received a call from a neighbor wondering if we had all of our dogs (we had five at the time) and of course I said, "Yes, we do." After discussion of how they should proceed next as to find the dog their owner, my husband a few hours later said "Let's go look at that dog." I couldn't believe it! Long story short, Chance came to spend the night because we were sure she was somebody's baby and no one ever claimed her.

I quickly realized that she was a good candidate for the obedience ring as her personality is very friendly and she's very obedient. Someone had housebroke her, taught her to stay off the furniture, not jump on people and just basic good house manners and I thought she was between six and nine months of age. My husband and I talked and decided we would keep her. Little did I realize at the time how much comfort she would be and how much alike she is to my Cheyenne. Cheyenne passed about a year after we adopted Chance and I would be totally lost if I didn't have Chance. Cheyenne was infamous for tearing up pillows in her older age when she was feeling insecure about being away from me and Chance has taken up that nasty habit since Cheyenne has passed. Deja Vu!

Anyways, I have great hopes for Chance and am looking forward to lots of fun with her. Her first ASCA show she received her CD title in three shows! It wasn't pretty as we say, but she did it! It was her first show away from home, first time to stay in a hotel and traveling, and she barely figured out she had to go potty on a leash, so I am so, so, SO proud of her! I hope you watch our progress and enjoy our accomplishments as we will!
