Introduction
Here it is, folks: the most ambitious links project perhaps in world field hockey.
In order to link up the nearly 1,800 field hockey programs (defined as belonging to any secondary school - public, private, parochial, or charter that ends in the 12th grade) in the United States today, we have split up the available sited into our normal six regions.
New England: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island
Tri-State: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania
Delmarva: Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, District of Columbia
South: North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas
Midwest: Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio
Far West: Colorado, California
We have also split the types of sites into four groups: red for school district athletic pages; blue for state federation-maintained athletic pages; green for pages run by third-party providers; light blue for pages run by boosters or supporters.
We don't have a lot of links as of January 2005, owing to the enormity of designing the individual state pages (whew)!
Once we have them activated, however, click on a square to find a link if available; to avoid broken links, especially in pages written in Java, we will often "back up" one page to give you the link to get you to the page in question.
This, friends, is a work in progress. We will have plenty of stuck links over the life of this site; let us know and we'll try to fix it in a jiffy. Email us at TopOfTheCircle@aol.com
