OPILLY versus POP
With seven gymnasts to Pop Squad's four, Opilly won decisively, 144.1 to 143.3. Emily Yim of Opilly posted the highest all-around score of 37.6, putting her well ahead of Pop's Sarah Torrence at 36.85 and Jennie Ray at 36.65. Yim's teammates Amanda Williams (35.85), Shannon Rowling (35.45), and Brittany Maddux (35.2) took the next three all-around spots and helped secure the team title. Pop's Ashley Cardiff was seventh with a 35.15, followed by Elizabeth Jarvis (Opilly, 34.8), Keshira Smith (Opilly, 34.8), Lindsey Matthews (Opilly, 34.75), and Brooke Star (Pop, 34.65).
TIGER versus LILLY
The afternoon meet was expected to be a closer competition than the morning session, with both squads fielding five gymnasts, but it turned into a 4 point slaughter of Tiger Squad by Lilly.
Lilly's Jessica Atler posted the highest score of the session and of the day with a 38.2. Kayla Coolmen of Tiger and Dominique Miller of Lilly also posted huge scores, finishing second and third in the meet. Coolmen was the only athlete other than Atler to surivive four routines with no falls all day; she finished with a 37.95. Young Dominique Miller scored a 37.6, counting a scary fall from bars. Lilly's Marina Melinskova also posted a very respectable score of 37.0, and Tiger's Alyssa Liukin was not far behind with a 36.65 (disastrous bars). Madison Whitney (Lilly, 35.05), Crystal Star (Tiger, 34.85), Morgan Raducan (Tiger, 34.5), Jenna Riordan (Lilly, 34.2), and newcomer Laura Kane (Tiger, 33.85) rounded out the all-around field.
