TOPOPOLILLY POINTS SYSTEM
PARTICIPATION INDEX
There are two ways to earn points each day:
1) Workout Form - There are three different workout forms. On most days, you should complete the Daily Workout form. On any day you are scheduled to compete in a meet, you can fill out the Meet Workout, and the day before the meet use the Pre-Meet Workout. On any day you are feeling lazy, you may fill out the Slacker Workout.
All workouts are worth 5 points, EXCEPT the Slacker Workout, which is worth 3 points.
2) Journal Entry - You may write one journal entry each day. An entry will receive 1, 2, or 3 points, depending on effort.
Occassionally there will be an extra point opportunity, which will be available to anyone who wishes to take advantage of it. These opportunities will be announced on the Announcements page.
Workout, Journal, and Extra points will all be added together to create your Participation Index, which will make up 85% of the ranking.
EXPERIENCE INDEX
Experience points will make up the remaining 10% of your ranking. There are two different types of experience points.
1) At the beginning of the season, each gymnast will be given 1-10 experience points, based directly on the number of meets where she has represented Topopolilly in past seasons. These points can be found here.
2) For each meet a gymnast competes in, she will receive one experience point, which will be added on to the past experience points to figure the Experience Index.
RANKING INDEX
The Participation and Experience Indexes will be added together to determine the Ranking Index. The rankings will be updated every few days, and will influence who is sent to meets, and performance at those meets.
