PRE-MEET WORKOUT

Meet you are preparing for:

The day before any meet, the team for that meet will work out together instead of with their usual squads. On this day, do this workout INSTEAD OF your squad workout.
(For each event, be sure to mention which skills you feel most comfortable with and potential problem areas. If it is a meet that I'm scoring and doing commentary for, I will use your answers to determine which skills you fell on, where you took the step out-of-bounds, what is easy for you, etc. If you say that everything is perfect, I'll just have to decide for myself where your problem areas are!)

6:30 -- Warm-up, group stretch, brief conditioning

6:45 -- VAULT WORKOUT

After a few timers for warm-up, we will solely on competition vaults. We will use two vault runways...keep it moving!

5:25 -- UNEVEN BARS WORKOUT

We will use two sets of bars. Coach will work with each gymnast individually. while not working with Coach, the rest of the team will run through full routines on the second set of bars.

8:05 -- BALANCE BEAM WORKOUT

Once again, Coach will work with each gymnast individually on one beam while the rest of the team runs full sets on two others.

8:45 -- FLOOR WORKOUT

The first twenty minutes of floor workout will be spent on tumbling only.
The second twenty minutes will be spent giving each gymnast a chance to go through her entire routine a time or two. Obviously, you will need more practice with your whole routine, so be sure to run it a few times in a private workout!
