"So take the photographs and still frames in your mind. Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time." - Green Day
Before I get knee deep in what will probably be the most bittersweet EAP in a looooong time, I'd like to say thanks. Thanks to all the Orientation Ambassadors. This has truly been the best summer ever and I pretty much owe it to you guys. I know we'll get to see each other off an on during the school year, but that same atmosphere won't be there that was there during the summer. The things you guys have done for and to me this summer could easily fill this page up and then some. I was truly touched. I can't say I imagined all this during the cold, snowy day in Asheville in the middle of February, but this was one opportunity I'm glad I decided to not pass up.
"Do you need some time all alone? Everybody needs some time on their own." - Guns N' Roses
Now for the reason this is gonna be bittersweet. This is gonna be the second to last EAP. I say 2nd to last cause I kinda want the last one to be something special. I have no purpose for this thing anymore. There's nothing in this I can't say in a regular profile/away message (hence most of this is me being random). I'm also no where near as bored/boring as I was when I started this whole thing. 2 yrs has been more than enough time to get everything out in the open. I don't have anymore cannons to fire at people cause frankly, the people I fired cannons at make up a small part of the whole picture. And in some cases, just don't exist anymore. So as much fun as I've gotten out of this, its kinda become a chore. So watch for the next one, all the good stuff'll be back. Pictures, music, weird song lyrics, and best of all - shout-outs. And since there's A LOT more people to do shout outs for now (I started this thing summer after Freshman year), its gonna be a while before I get it done. So lets shoot for November or something. That's usually when I catch my Winter Blues, so it'll at least make for some good reading.
"My bum is on the cheese, My bum is on the cheese. If I get lucky I'll get a disease." - Tom Green
Tom Green's 15 mins of fame = over 4 years ago. Why he has another show on MTV, I'm not really sure. Tom Green gets more new episodes while I haven't seen a rerun of Beavis and Butthead in Lord knows how long. Speaking of people who need to just go away, Kelly Clarkson, you're the next contestant on get the fuck off the radio.
"As he walks away, he feels the pain getting strong. People in your life, they don't know that's going on. Too proud to turn around. He's gone." - Ace of Base
Sometimes the only thing harder than making a new friendship is realizing you're grasping at straws with one that was really strong before. You don't really know how to talk about it, or even if you should. If it ever comes to a point to where all parties involved are comfortable without the other parties being there, is there really a need for conversation? But before you make a decision, you have to decide whether if everyone is comfortable or just playing with the hand that was dealt to them?
"Knocked out like King Hippo in the 1st Round" - My Sleeping2 Away Message
There is an issue that has become a serious problem. I know it's a problem because I suffer from it myself. Its lack of AIM creativity. It's really sad. As the years go on and time passes, people's AIM profiles and away messages become less creative. They go from something hilarious to just some random song/movie/tv/poem quotes. After a while, you go down your buddy list and no one has anything interesting to read anymore. Just some quote that has nothing to do w/ whatever they're doing or some quote that has something to do w/ what their doing from some obscure source. Tis sad. Real sad. I can't make everyone change their away messages just for my amusement, but I can make mine a little more lively. Hell, if you guys don't get any fun out of it, I sure as hell will.

"Oh! And the moon sometimes looks like a C, but you can't eat that. So, C is for Cookie, that good enough for me." - Cookie Monster
I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. The reason Oreos sell so well isn't because of the crème filling. Or the chocolate crème filling. It's because of those damn cookies. The cookie by itself is one of the world's greatest treasures. Next topic.
"Whatever happened to the good old fashioned sluts? The ones who just wore short skirts." - Billy C
I'm not quite sure when this fad came back in style, but skorts NEED to be outlawed. This whole false sense of a short skirt is really fucking guys up across the country. There's nothing worse than seeing a girl in a short short skirt, turning around to take a "2nd glance" then realizing it's a pair of "fucking skorts." Ladies, skorts are really unattractive. The only thing accomplished when wearing these things is making every guy within a 20 ft radius of you extremely mad.
Calf Man: We're not sure who first wore the terrycloth. All we know is… (looks up and points) they scorched the sky.
Sonar: (looks up) What the fuck is up there?
On a completely different note, terrycloth is pretty cool. I can't say I've seen a girl who looks bad in terrycloth. That nice, soft, beach towel look works for almost everyone. Its kinda like those black sorority pants.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys
2003 Versions > 1988 Versions
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Toys
2003 Versions < 1993 Versions
What does this prove? That even though the Power Rangers have been around for a decade straight (they never went anywhere...just changed clothes), they're still no match for the fab foursome. Now if only the Ghostbusters would make a return and show 'em both how to run shop.
"This bed is on fire with passion and love, the neighbors complain about the noises above." - James
If you haven't seen American Wedding, please do so. Quite possibly one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. Better than American Pie 2, not quite as baked as American Pie. And the funny thing is the characters are so easy to relate to. Their senior year of high school ran around the same time as mine, as did their freshman year of college. Now while I'm not getting married, I have friends who are, so it's close enough. And besides it doesn't have to run parallel to my life - I mean its not like I ever had a trumpet stuck up my ass. Well other than that one time, but I was pretty drunk so that doesn't count. (Side Note: For my LEADers here's an analogy for you guys. American Pie: LEAD :: American Wedding: Clemson Orientation. Sentimental? Yeah, I am.)

"These memories are playing like a film without sound…" - Vitamin C
Yeah, I know, I'm staring way too early to be concerned about what happens after graduation, but its my EAP and I wanna start now. Its kinda leaving a sour taste in my mouth. But it has led to a good thing; there's been many a moments me and my people have shared over the last few days. Some memories and stories you forget about in the four years you spend here. The time just goes by so quickly. If you have time left with your friends, cherish it and hold it near to your heart. And if you're like me and your hourglass is almost empty, be sure to spend time with your friends reminiscing about all the good times, but don't forget to make new memories. Now that I've said that I have to go sew up my vagina or something.
