The lower Great Southern region of Western Australia is renowned for its
glorious scenery and mild climate ... an ideal place to relax and enjoy a
respite from the summer heat or just a peaceful getaway during the quieter
off peak season.
Summer temperatures rarely exceed 30 degrees centigrade and nights are blissfully cool. Throughout the rest of the year this area experiences daytime temperatures a degree or two cooler than Perth, with nights rarely as cold - truly a place for all seasons. Lying between Albany and Denmark - two of WA's favourite holiday destinations - are the townships of Elleker, Torbay, Bornholm and Youngs Siding. Drive along Lower Denmark Road, which winds through tranquil, gently rolling pastoral scenery, and glance southwards to gain a hint of the wonderful and varied coastline which awaits to delight your senses. Rugged headlands, sheltered pristine beaches, coastal heathland, forest - we invite you to come and share our corner of paradise. Spectacular south coastal scenery ... Torbay to Youngs Siding
