Amy complied and listened as Carmess and Tanya conversed on various subjects.  She had never been taught that eavesdropping was rude and considered such thins educational.     After she was done, Tanya gave her a pair of boots, a riding cloak, tunics, and some shirts.  amy tried them all on and carted them around the halls that was supposedly hers.    She almost dropped everything she was carrying when she saw her room.  It was small, very small compared to some of the other bedrooms in the palace, but to Amy's country-bred eyes it was huge.    A four-poster bed dominated most of the floor, with a small desk and clothes press were squeezed between the fireplace, teh large window and the doors leading off to the privy and the dressing room.  The window looked out onto a small bare courtyard that showed servants running to and fro on various errands.     "Well," said Carmess.  "This is your room.  If you haven't guessed already, you'll be coming to the university with me until we find a suitable home for you.  You can get settled.  I'll come for you in the morning." As he walked out Amy heard him mutter,"This should be interesting."    Indeed, she thought.
