Just calling attention to a trivial
topic.
In the old days Tori used to stick to fairly simple
jewelry. And I found too cute how she would wear and a same pair of
special rings and earings for years. Then came before the
more spectacle orientated and fancy jewelry, which is also nice in a
different way. But the things I'm talking about, I liked them because
they gave her a total sense of girl-next-door artist. So I've
simply collected here some small info about them. Pure trivia as I
fist said.
The Earrings
As reported in Yes
Said the earings were acquired in London at the soaring outstart
of her solo carrer (Eventually
she would lose them in some photoshoot):
"The
silver earrings are from a jewelery maker by the name of Jacqueline
Rabin. She is an African-American living in London, and she is very
talked about. You can find her work in a place off Carnaby street
called Jess James. Great jewelry store. all the pieces are in
aquariums. without the water."

Q&A session in the fall of 1996.)
The
Rings
-
The first one, when asked what was the
significance of the ring on her hand, Tori answered "The
Wolf gave it to me. That person will remain mysterious." "
(Bay
Area Musician interview. March 11, 1994)
The
wolf might
have been Eric Rosse, Amos’s boyfriend at the time.
- And
the second one was an I like you present from Mark when they started
going out.
Boyz: Nice ring. Is that wedding-related?
Tori: No, this is the wedding ring. This was the ‘I like you’
ring. This came first.
Boyz: The ‘I like you’ ring is bigger. What should we read into
that? Are you still hot for this guy?
Tori: We’re in a sizzle-in-an-iron-skillet kind of realm.
(Boyz
Magazine, November 99)
"Amos
and Hawley were married in February [...] Hawley has brought a new
strength and joy into Amos’ life, and she giggles as she
reluctantly describes their wedding. “Got a nice ring,” she
says, displaying a flash of diamond “Couple of ‘em! It was
really magical. He asked me, and I said yes. It was that simple.
We’re kind of shy about it. It’s our little treasure

magazine, July 1998)
The
ankle thing
And
last, but not least, I always liked the ankle thing he wore on the BFP
cover. Quite an overlooked item.
