Goku's Unusual Journey
Episode 4
The episode begins with Piccolo nearly ready to fire his special beam cannon at Raditz, who is being held down by Goku. Raditz sees on his scouter, that Piccolo’s power level was 1440. That was far too much for Raditz to take. Piccolo then fired the beam cannon. After the beam, both Raditz and Goku were nearly dead.
Raditz did not understand why Goku had sacrificed himself. Piccolo explained that Goku would be back to earth in less than a week. Raditz couldn’t understand why, but Piccolo that there was something on the planet earth called dragonballs. When all 7 are placed together, a dragon is summoned and it can grant anything one wishes. Raditz then told him that through his scouter, the other two Saiyans heard what he was saying, as the scouter as a communicator as well. He knew they would want to come, to make a wish. He then chuckled and told Piccolo that they were much stronger than he was. Goku, who was nearly dead, asked how long it would take for them to get to earth. Raditz replied by saying one year. Piccolo had enough of Raditz’s laughing and destroyed him.
After that, Krillin, Bulma, and Roshi arrive on the scene, to find that Piccolo was the only one standing.
Vegeta and Nappa, the other two Saiyans, were discussing about going to earth. Vegeta said that they should wish for immortality. Nappa agreed, and the two Saiyans left in their spacepods in the direction of planet earth.
Back at the once battlefield, Goku fazed into the other dimension. Krillin didn’t understand what happened, but Piccolo explained that it was the work of Kami and that Kami probably had something special in plan for Goku.
Piccolo was right, because in the other dimension, Kami was talking to King Yama (person who delivers judgment) about allowing Goku to receive special training from King Kai. King Yama then agreed to let Goku go to King Kai’s, but he warned him about the dangers on snake way and told him, that if he is to fall off Snake way, there is no coming back.
Back on earth, Krillin removed the scouter from the dead Raditz. Bulma then inspected it. Just as they were about to leave with the sleeping Gohan, Piccolo regenerated his arm. He then told them that he needed to take Gohan to train with him. Krillin, Bulma, and Roshi tried to resist, but to no avail as Piccolo took Gohan and left to give him training.
Meanwhile, Goku arrived at Snake Way. The guide who drove him there told him that it was over 10 000 miles long. Goku was amazed, but he went on his way, anyway.
Meanwhile, Piccolo gave Gohan a rude awakening and tried to get him to remember what power the young Saiyan had. Gohan didn’t recall, so Piccolo refreshed his memory by throwing the child into a mountain. Gohan blew up the mountain, leaving a trail, which lasted miles. Even Piccolo was amazed. Gohan, meanwhile, couldn’t believe he had this power. Piccolo then explained why he (Gohan) was here (to train for the oncoming Saiyans). Will the Z warriors’ training be enough for the Saiyans’ arrival in only one year’s time? Find out on the next Dragonball Z.
