Anyway many years later Goku met up with a girl named Bulma. Bulma went along with Goku to get all seven Dragonballs. Unfortunately Goku and his friends met up Lord Pilaf who wanted to rule the world but was unsucessful stopped by Goku, then the Red Ribbon Army was drilled (only to return however). The final fight in Dragonball was with Piccolo. Goku (as usual) won that battle and his first Budokai.
In Dragonball Z, Goku battled stronger and more powerful enemies but prevailed against most of them. Goku was also the first to turn Super Saiyan when fighting Freiza on Namek.
He also sacrificed his life twice for the sake of the planet earth.
Goku is a strong-willed (sometimes stubborn), relaxed and confident person. He also seems to take life lightly (with a pinch of salt). Also, Goku sometimes lets the enemy go free (Vegeta dispises that) when he is helpless.
