"Krillin"

Krillin is Goku's best friend. In the beginning of Dragonball, Goku and Krillin trained with Master Roshi. Over time Goku became stronger than Krillin (and taller). When Nappa and Vegeta arrived on Earth Krillin had a major role to play in trying to hold off the humungous Nappa and to save Goku's life from a transfomed Vegeta. Also on Namek, Krillin was in almost every episode until Freiza destroyed him. This brought Goku's anger to the max to bring him to the level of Super Saiyan. Later in Dragonball Z Krillin becomes less of a factor and marries Android 18 (that's right)!
