	Sahara Macdonald was born on June 19th, 1977, making her the eldest member of Sujar Jones. Sahara was born in Winnipeg but grew up in Vancouver. She received training in dance and later with encouragement from her mother, pursued vocal lessons. Sahara's taste is music is quite diverse and she pulls influence from older jazz, blues and funk musicians such as Al Greene and Gladys Knight and more contemporary singers like Lauren Hill. Sahara has been very independent since a young age, and therefore her group members tend to go to her as the older sister. She is very strong minded and set in her goals - and she is not willing to settle for anything less than perfect. She voiced her opinion often through the process of the production of the album, but this only assured that the girls were getting what they wanted - rather than the album being created for them Sahara's sense of style directly reflects her personality. She is daring and unique, but always very elegant. Sahara has been spotted in clothing from Preloved - a vintage clothing store on Queen St. in Toronto.
	Julie Crochetiere was born on July 10th, 1980. She was born and raised in Montreal. Julie has always been involved with music as she studies classical piano, jazz and piano all through her childhood. In highschool, she enjoyed playing the trumpet. Julie was able to showcase her talent with the trumpet, when the producer asked Julie to play a part in a track featured on the Sugar Jones album. Not only does Julie love music and dance, but she is a very skilled artist - she was often seen sketching the other girls as they waited in the recording studio. Not unlike Sahara, Julie is a very strong minded young woman, but at the same time she is very considerate and understanding. She too hopes to be involved more in the production process of albums to come. Julie is the Sugar Jones member who gives the band a little more edge with her strong (deeper) voice, spikey hair, and hip outfits.
	Mirella Dell'Aquila is the second member from Montreal. She was born Nov. 28, 1981 which means she's the youngest of Sugar Jones. When Mirella was chosen for Sugar Jones, she had just completed her first year of the music program at Vanier College. She has also had many years of classical voice training, as well as coaching in various forms of dance. Mirella can sing in four different languages! Mirella is a huge fan of pop and R & B music - her favourites being Shania Twain, Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. Although Sugar Jones have been pushed into the spotlight and the girls themselves are now teen role models/idols, Mirella was so excited when she got to meet N'Synch in the studio!!! Mirella is the sweet member of Sugar Jones. Her style is clean and sexy.
	Andrea is from Hamilton, Ontario and was born on December 14th, 1978. Andrea was not one of the original five girls chosen for Sugar Jones, but after some mis-hap with the 5th member, Andrea came in to complete the group. The girls seem far more comfortable as a group now - so maybe everything does happen for a reason! Andrea has been interested in singing since she was just a little girl. All through her childhood she participated in the church choir and community theatre. She has won talent searches, beauty pagents, and been a model for a few agencies! Andrea is a R & B girl, with such favourites as Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston and Lauren Hill. Many think of Andrea as the quite member of the group - but the girls have revealed that Andrea has a develish side and loves to make everyone laugh.
	Maiko Watson was born in Guyana on April 29, 1981 but moved to Canada as a little girl with her family. Like all the other girls in Sugar Jones, music has been a part of Maiko's life since she was very young. Throughout her life she has participated in many musicals and has been a very strict student of dance. Maiko has also shown a very strong interest in writing her own lyrics. She hopes to be albe to use Sugar Jones a way to further explore this talent. Maiko has a passion for R & B. She adores such artists as Jill Scott, Angie Stone, Lauren Hill, and Whitney Houston. Maiko too seems like one of the quieter members of Sugar Jones, but she does not take a back seat on the album. Her many solo performances exhibit the amazingly strong and unique voice and a very distinct style both in fashion and art.
