The handlebars have been cut down to make them less wide and a pair of mountain bike "bar end" extenders have been mounted to give better positioning of the hands.
The shifters are Shimano "bar end" types (touring "bar end") mounted in the ends of the handlebar extenders.
Note the smaller extenders on the Magura brake handles.
