Pyxis planicauda-Malagasy flat tailed tortoise Origin: Madagascar
Even though very little is known about this species, they recently (July, 2000) started coming into the United States by the dozen.
While I am always hopeful that a self sustaining breeding population will be able to be established by serious collectors, with such a small amount of information on their husbandry requirements and possibly rather limited native populations, I have serious concerns about the species as a whole.
