Geochelone radiata- Radiated tortoise        Origin: Madagascar

One of the rarest and most beautiful species of tortoise in the world (though it has also been referred to as the "rich man's sulcata" by a source who will not be named here.........Darrell).  This species is strongly protected by federal regulations in the United States where a captive wildlife permit is required for any interstate purchases/transport.
