Some time late in the night, Tendo Martial Arts Training Hall - The darkness lay
like a thick blanket around the young girl, sleeping through the night. As if
summouned a sharp wind gust through the window, shattering it into many pieces,
and whipped across the girl. Gasping, she sat straight up like lightning, her
eyes wide as the images repeated in her head.
*Trapped, trapped under wieght, the eyes, staring at me... then fire,
blossiming to shadow the sky, blood flowing fierce, bones showing... the
creatures, the creatures attacked...*
Azel shuddered as she realized the most terrifying part of her vision.
    *They... they weren't ALONE.
More than the creatures, there was more than the humans helping, more
than those gentically created things...
    They weren't alone.*
Azel tripped and stumbled out of her bed and quickly drew on appropriate cloths
and her jacket. She thought of the blood and shivered.
*What if it's more than a dream? What if it's true? I have to find out, I
have to know... I might be important!*
A nagging voice started whispering to her.. *Important, little girl?
Important... like the men on the plane. Like the pile of bricks at the
tournament. Like the dead man who's identity isn't known... Like all those
things?*
Terrified Azel stopped short and froze. *Perhaps its right....* The images
of screaming people, blood flowing fierce appeared again. *But perhaps...* A
sudden determination bloossomed over her, covering her in a pale glow. *PERHAPS
NOT! I AM going to find out. I AM going to help. I WON'T listen to that voice
anymore. Never again. Because... it's important.*
Quickly she resumed moving, dodging the deeper blackness the represented
furniture. She moved over to her sack, grabbing her medical kit. *My sis
always said learning that stuff would come in handy...* Quickly tossing the
strap over her shoulder she ran into the night, knowing that somewhere, in the
darkness, someone... was hurt. And this time... this time, she could make a
difference.
