Akisame's eyes opened, he sat around and looked at his surroundings. A
crater had been formed around him, void of anything except for bits and
pieces of rock and dirt. He looked down at himself, relieved to see he was
all in one piece.
"Wooo Nac, check that out! Betcha didn't think I could handle that!" said
Akisame, rubbing his wrists.

"Now I know your alittle worried...maybe even a bit mad..."
[[EIWEOEFKWEMFELWKJROEW!!]]
"But you have to understand, this was a crucial moment for me, it's like my
Sensei said, I gotta break old limits, so I can set new ones."
[[Ok question, were you or were you not the same person that just let off a
gigantic electrical discharge do to the fact that he broke a new barrier
defining anger while at the SAME time completely disregarded his own neural
computers suggestions that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to try and set a
new world record for worlds longest lasting coma!?!?!?]]
Akisame fell on his back laughing, never in his life had he heard Nac talk
like that before, "Oh man, what a mouthful. You need to calm down, I'm fine
aren't I? I mean after...wha...hey! What the heck is this?"
He looked down at himself a second time and noticed that tiny webs of
electricity still crackled and arced themselves around his body every once in
a while.
"Heh...actually it's kinda cool" he commented, waving his hand a bit,
causing a few sparks to fall off, bounce onto the ground and fade away into
nothingness.
[[It's a literal "aftershock". So much energy was flowing through your body
that it needs to gradually leave your system so your heart doesn't stop and
you don't burn out your nervous system.]]
Akisame chuckled, "Now THAT's the Nac I know, ugh...what a rush..." he
continued, making his way to a standing position, allowing more sparks to
crackle and jump off of his body.
[[Yeesh, you were right...you do got some kinda personality problem. Who was
the guy who blew up before in anger?]]
Akisame put his arms over his head and began stretching from side to side,
"Oh c'mon Nac, everyone deserves to be really mad one time in their life, and
so that was my one time. If it makes you feel any better I won't do it
again..."
[[Why don't I believe you?]]
"Man, I feel great...why do you think that is?" Akisame asked his electronic
counterpart.
[[*sigh* That's kinda the plus side to almost killing yourself. The more
you use RAGE the better you become at it.]]
Suddenly Nac's tone changed. [[Actually this might be a good thing...the
better you get at RAGE, the easier it is for me to control your body
temperature.]]
"So I should just do it again?"
[[Nonononono...that's not how it works. I wouldn't try something like that
again for awhile, your body is going to need time to adjust to the changes.]]
Now Nac had Akisame interested, "What changes? I feel good but I don't feel
that much different."
[[Well...I'm going to give you permission to try something...but just ONCE.
This is only a test to see if you can handle using the PETs yet.]]
Akisame looked down at his hand, and with alittle concentration he forced the
ring to sprout it's tendrils and lace itself around his hand, "But I already
know I can use the PETs..."
[[Yes...but there's another way they can be used.]]
"Really? Slammin'! So how's it work?"
[[Ok, well you know how the PETs work technically right? As in what makes
them function?]]
Akisame scratched his head in thought, "Well...I know they feed off of a tiny
bit of energy that surges through the human body...that's about it..."
[[Yes, but they can also be used to turn the electricity they gather into a
focal point.]]
His eyes lit up as he knew what Nac was talking about now, "You mean like
those balls of energy those other guys were using at the tournament? The
Kame....kazi things and all those other words they shout?"
[[Something like that...however it seems a majority of the blasts we saw at
the tournament were done with the energy within. Ki, chi, or life energy.
However, while yours would be made of energy if wouldn't be from your life
force, it's more of a man made lightning bolt, in laymens terms...are you
listening to me?]]
Meanwhile, Akisame was busy scratching designs into the closest rock with his
organic claws, "Heh? Oh yeah I heard ya. So how do I do it?"
[[First you need control...you can't go ballistic on this, only put a bit of
energy into it. Focus your thought on the PETs. It's like flexing a muscle,
the more you hold the muscle, the more tired the muscle becomes.]]
Akisame shook his arms and legs out and began to prepare himself to try out
the new technique, "Ok, here goes..." he clenched his left fist in front of
him and began to concentrate, forcing the excess electricity in his body to
gather in the PETs. Sure enough after a moment the arcs of energy began
traveling from around his body to his fist, all gathering at the designated
area.
"Hoo yeah! It's working...man oh man...er...what do I do now?"
[[Release it genius.]]
He drew back his arm and threw it forward, sending a ball of shrieking energy
outward. Quickly it arced downward and, after crashing into the ground,
covered Akisame in dirt. He could hear Nac clapping in his head
sarcastically.
[[How impressive, with aim like that I estimate a 17% chance of you killing
yourself each time you fire one.]]
"Shut up!" Akisame half snapped, half laughed, "This is a monumental day for
me! Do you know how handy that would have been back at the tournament? Now
that I've found out how powerful the people are in this town I gotta train
even harder then before" said Akisame with a look of determination.
"Yes...and as such I shall name it...the um...I'm gonna name it..." Akisame
began going over a few names in his head, "ah yes! I shall name it Houden
Bakuha!"
[[Lame.]]
"Shut up!"
[[You have to name your techniques? What are you some kind of action hero?]]
"Bah, what do you know? It's more fun that way...hmm, come to think of it,
I'm also kinda hungry...and Nabiki did say meals came with the price of
rent..."
[[Are you going to leave some food for the rest of the family?]]
Akisame mumbled something under his breath, then said, "of course, sheesh I
don't eat THAT much...at any rate...to the dojo!" with those final words he
darted off to the dojo, forgetting that he was completely covered in dirt and
earth.
Upon arriving he glanced at the door and noticed a large figure resting
against it, "Um Nac? Who the heck is that?"
[[It's just a big...woman...I guess.]]
"Hmm...my body temperature is feeling pretty good, make the BLADES do a
bio-mass scan, gimme a full read out. If you can, give me a name." said
Akisame as he slowly began creeping closer to the figure. Soon the world
through his eyes flashed red, the figure stood out as the BLADES hummed.
Soon a list of approximate height, weight and other vital statistics listed
themselves before his eyes. Then everything turned back to normal.

"Yeah?..."
[[Word 'unknown' ring a bell?]]
"Doh...is she hostile?"
[[Can't tell, something's wrong with her though...her internal structure
is...unique...]]
