Corona D'ualtaire tossed and turned in her sleep as the sounds changed and she
was sure she could hear ringing.
*Ring* *Ring*
She pried her eyes open and looked at her alarm clock. 0200. Who would bother
her at 2 am!
She groaned and pulled the reciever to her ear and in perfect English spat out,
"Its two am you better have a good reason to call me!"
"Aquarius it's Capricorn." A voice answered in Japaneese.
Cora sighed realizing that the hour ertainly wasn't quit as ugly at home.
"Capricorn how many times do we have to go over this I am not a Senshi like you
are stop addressing me as one."
"Aquarius, even though you weren't .. well blessed with the powers of Aquarius
doesn't mean anything to your family. Just because you are on the other side of
the world and away from us doesn't mean you aren't part of our family."
Corona sighed. Capricorn, her oldest sister had a way of pushing her buttons in
just the right way to make her wish she actually was a senshi so she could
teleport in onher sister and make her life miserable.
"What is so important you have to call me so early?" She asked.
"You haven't heard?" Capricorn asked.
Corona sighed. "Heard what?"
Capricorn suddenly sounded upset and began to sob into the phone. "Grandmother
is the Queen Mother now, the Neo-Queen passed away about an hour ago."
Tears sprung to her eyes.
Her Great-Grandmother.. dead.. NO! It wasn't possible!
"How?" She asked, her voice breaking up.
"In her sleep, Grandmother was with her."
Corona began to cry. She had to go home, she needed to go home but she knew that
she couldn't. They were supposed to bread Ishtar and Na'ayalana tomorrow. The
breading of captured tigers hadn't been done successfully since the twenty third
century and they were nearly extinct now!
"Grandmother says that you are ordered to remain at the program."
Her blood boiled. Her Grand Mother and doted on her her entire life, and even
her Great-Grandmother doted on her until she was rendered incapacitated by her
stroke a while ago, but despite it she remembered her great Grandmother as a
vibrant, youthful person despite her age.
Alex, Corona's room mate rolled over accross the room, "Geez Princess.. wouldya
go to bead already?"
"I will do as I am ordered, but if I feel that I need to come home, I will."
"Aquarius you can not come home."
Corona bolted upret in bed and yelled into the phone, "And why not! You are not
Venus! You can not order me around! I am not a senshi to be ordered around!"
"You're orders at this time are to stay put and hold tight for awhile, things are
getting.. messy and we need to make sure you all right and kept safe. You are
now fourth in-line to the thrown. Venus wishes to send you your own guard."
"Like hell she will!" Corona belted.
"You listen to me Aquarius and you listen good! There have been Yuoma attacks
again and we can't risk you getting hurt! Now be a good little girl, like the
baby you are and go to sleep!"
Corona stared at her phone as it clicked silent.
Slipping on a piar of overalls over her night gown and sneakers over her barefeet
she grabbed ehr jacket and her keys and went to the only place she could think.
