Comments: This is my little take off of a fairy tale i read when i
was really really really little ^_^ 'tis about a prince who was
captured by the Fairies, and was to guard the forest from all who
came by... This guardian was to either kill the maidens who came,
or ...um...take their virginity. He would literally call for them at
their castles, asking them to come. One day, a maiden by the name of
Janet (Shinya!) came to the forest, and, to sum it up in a nutshell;
they fell MADLY in love, and had wild monkey sex in the forest. Only
not so. You know what i mean. Janet had to free her love, the
mortal knight Tam Lin, from the evil fairy queen's clutches, by
performing special little tasks.... wee.

Tam Lin is also a song ^.^ 'tis by "Fairport Convention"....I think
it's spiffy...but that's just 'cause I've known the song since i was
about two ^^;;
Dedicated to: Piiko-chan and me buds, Luni-chan, VM, Fuyumi-chan,
NightMajik, winterFall, Hikaru, ScarletKozi-chan, and whoever else i
forgot O_o;; or whoever else wants it to be dedicated to them!

Part 2

Shinya stumbled through the large hallways of his father's castle.
The ride home hadn't been the kindest thing to ever happen to his
rump, but he tried to ignore it. Or at least, try to ignore it
around his father, whom he was searching for at the moment...
Finding his father at the round table where he spoke to his knights,
he made a quick curtsy, kissed his father lightly on the cheek, and
was motioned to sit.

"Where have you been this day, Shinya?" his father asked, taking the
prince's soft hand in his own rough ones.
"I went to Carterhaugh, in search of Toshiya. Did I not tell you
that when I was leaving?"

Yoshiki, the father, stopped for a moment, cocking his head in
thought, and then smiled.
"Yes, I guess you did. Forgive me, it slipped my mind, what with
Inoran bouncing around the castle acting like his only daughter had
just gone off to get married."
"Ino does not have a daughter...he doesn't even have a wife, nor a
fancy in any women around or in the castle."
"No, no he does not. But he see's you as his sister or daughter - or
something - i do believe. I think it's sweet ^_^"

Shinya laughed quietly, before reaching to bring up a large bag.

"Father-"
"Oh, and alas, Shinya," he said, and he spoke meek and mild, "I think
you go with child."
"WHAT?!"
"I think you go with child." Yoshiki repeated.
"Father, I cannot have children!"
"Why not?"
"I'M A MAN!"
"Oh yeah."
"Yeah!"
"Well...then you lost your virginity, did you not?"

"Well, if that be so," Shinya said, with a faint blush on his
cheeks, "myself shall bear the blame. There's not a knight in all
your hall shall get my hand. For if my love were an earthly knight,
as he is an elfin grey, I'd not change my own true love for any
knight you have."

"Well, that's all fine, i do believe."
"But how did you figure it out?"
"Well, besides the fact that Ino told me what happened to virgins
when they go to Carterhaugh-"
"Those are maidens, not male virgins as well."
"-That they are found by the guardian, Tam Lin, and they must make a
pledge to them."
Shinya nodded.
"But as I've seen that you still have your green mantle, you must of
pledged something."
"I-I-"
"Does he love you?"
Shinya blushed, pulling the bag into view.
"He has asked for my hand in marriage."

It was Yoshiki's turn to be shocked.

"EEEEEH?! O_O?!"
"He asked for my hand in marriage..."
"B-B-But you are a man! So is he!"
"What is your point?"
Yoshiki suddenly smiled brightly (if not a little sadly), clasping
Shinya's hand once more.
"Nothing. Go for it, and take the presents back. I am in no need of
bribery to give my honors for your marriage! Just be sure to come and
visit sometime!! When do you return?"
"I am to go back tomorrow, when he said that he would help me find
Toshiya..."
"Really? Well, bring Inoran with you. Maybe he can find a true love,
as well!"
"Yes father. And thank you..." Shinya stood, smiling, and kissed his
father on the cheek once more.

"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII~~IIIIIIIINOOOOOOOOOOOOO~OOOOOOOOOOO, WHERE
AAAAAAAAAAAAA~~AAAAAAAAAARE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU?" Shinya
called, his voice echoing on the rock walls of the castle.
A few random servants looked up, but Shinya didn't pay attention to
them, zooming off to his chamber.

In the large room, he found his faithful servant sweeping the floor.

"Ino!"
"Shinya-sama! You're home!!" Shinya found himself being tackled by
the older man, falling onto the rather hard rock floor.
"Ino, get off me."
"Yes sir." He quickly obeyed, sitting up and helping his master
up. "How was your trip? Did you find Sir Toshiya? Did you have
wild monkey sex with the guardian of the forest?"
"INO!"

"This is it?" Ino whispered, tying the horses to a close-by tree and
walking to where Shinya was standing. "This is Carterhaugh, where my
sweet master lost his virginity without me knowing?"
"INO!" Shinya hissed, covering the smaller man's mouth with his hand.
"Mwaahrd?"
"Shhh! Stay here, I shall be right back." Shinya whispered, walking
down the forest path, the only source of light being the early
sunbeams that shone into the forest over a rather large hill.

"Die? Die, where are you?" Shinya called out quietly, not wanting to
wake the forest folk from their slumber.

Just when Shinya was about to turn back, he felt to strong arms wrap
around his middle, and a kiss planted on his neck.

"You returned, my beautiful Prince!" a cheerful sounding voice
crooned, as the body behind him turned him in the arms.

It was, of course, Die.

Shinya let out a happy sigh before throwing his arms around Die's
neck, taking in the sweet smell of his lover.

Of brier roses and Honeysuckle.

A piercing scream brought the two lovers out of their comfortable
little world. They both looked up.

"Ino!"
"Shit."
"What do you mean, 'SHIT'?!" Shinya whispered, running down the path,
hand in hand with Die.

Die remained silent, dodging off the trail and pulling Shinya with
him.
"'Tis a faster way..." he mumbled, jumping over a bush.

Shinya was having more trouble keeping up, what with all his skirts
and strange shoes. Die finally gave up and hoisted the thin prince
up in his arms. Shinya found it quiet nice to be carried through the
forest.
Even though they were in a hurry.

The clearing opened up before them.
In the middle lay Inoran, looking scared out of his wits, with a very
tall, lanky, blond man sitting on his stomach, pining him to the
ground.

"J! Get off him!" Die yelled, putting Shinya down next to him.
The blond looked up, still not loosening his grip on the servant's
wrists.
"B-but-!!"
"No buts J! Get off him!"
"But he was not called to the forest! He is a trespasser!! He has no
right to be here!"
"It does not matter his reason to be here, my brother. He's here
with Shin-chan."
"'Shin-chan'?" J asked, arching an eyebrow and getting off the
servant. Shinya quickly helped Ino into a sitting position.

"Ino? Are you all right?" Shinya asked, as the two brothers bickered
in the background.
"H-h-he-"
"Ino?"
"He sat on me-"
"Yes, are you okay?"
"He-he-he- tackled me away from the horses...."
"Yes, Ino, i know."
"*_____*"
"Man, you are undersexed. I shall talk with my father when we get
back to the castle about it."
"*____*"
"Oh yeah. I definitely will."
Ino's face suddenly fell, and he stood up, helping Shinya to his
feet. With his head down, he stood as still as a stalk, waiting for
command.

His face was a good shade of scarlet, yet his master dismissed the
thought. More important issues at hand. Like the finding of his
brother.

"Die-kun, you said that we might be able to find Totchi today?"
"Totchi?" J asked, sitting on the grass, followed closely by the
others. Die wrapped his arms around Shinya's shoulders.

"Aye, Totchi. Toshiya. My brother. He came here to Carterhaugh a
few weeks ago, but he never came home."
"I'm thinking -and hoping- that Kaoru found him."
"Kaoru?" Ino and Shinya asked, looking at the red head.
"Aye, 'tis our brother. He likes finding things and almost always
keeps what he finds ^^;;"
"Well? Do you know where you might be able to find your brother?"
"Er...no, not really...he likes to disappear a lot..."
"Oh that's helpful."
"Truly. Especially when the Fairy Queen needs to talk with us. J?"
"Hm? What, brother?"
"Would you mind taking -Inoran, right?- with you to find Kaoru? I
have some things I need to talk to Shin-chan about."

J muttered under his breath about lazy, lovesick brothers, but
nodded. Getting to his feet again, he helped Ino up, and they walked
off into the dense forest.

"Do you think it was the smartest idea to send them off together,
DieDie?"
Die shrugged, leaning back on one of the small knolls that littered
the clearing. Shinya curled up next to him, head on his shoulder.
"J needs to calm down.... breath a bit...."
"And you think Ino would be good for him?"
"Aye..."

The lapsed into a calm silence.

"Oh, tell to me, Die," Shinya said, "why came you here to dwell?"
Die glanced down at the auburn head lovingly.
"Do you wish to free me?"
Shinya nodded, not really knowing what he was talking about, but
wanting to free his lover from whatever could of caught him.

(*grins* I'm just going to...use the lyrics with mild adjustments
^_^;)

"The Queen of Fairies caught me when from my horse I fell
And at the end of seven years she pays a tithe to hell
I so fair and full of flesh and fear it be myself.
But tonight is All Hallow's Eve and the fairy folk ride...
Those that would let true love win at Mile's Cross they must bide"

"Mile's Cross?"
"'tis the only place mortals are able to see the fairy folk ride."
"Oh..."

"So first let pass the horses black and then let pass the brown
Quickly run to the white steed and pull the rider down.
For I'll ride on the white steed, the nearest to the town
For I was an earthly knight, they give me that renown.
Oh, they will turn me in your arms to a newt or a snake
But hold me tight and fear not, I am your lover.
And they will turn me in your arms into a lion bold
But hold me tight and fear not and you will love our life together.
And they will turn me in your arms into a naked knight
But cloak me in your mantle and keep me out of sight"

"It is a test I must perform, is it not?" Shinya asked, looking up at
his lover, ember depths full of worry.
"Aye... but worry not, you shall do fine. When you accomplish all of
these deeds, you will have freed the forest from the evil Fairy
Queen's reign... My brothers and I shall be free, after that..."
"How did your brothers get caught?"
Die looked thoughtful for a moment, before wrapping his arms tighter
around his thin lover's body.
"Kaoru...Kaoru came in search of me....I do believe that J came in
search of both of us...but I am not quiet sure, for we never speak of
it." Die shrugged.

Shinya was silent for a moment, thinking and processing what had been
told to him.

A soft finger brought back his attention as it traveled down his
cheek.
"What did your Father say to my proposal?" Die whispered.
Shinya blushed, then smiled happily.
"He said to go for it. I am yours, and you are mine. And that I
must visit once in a while at least." Shinya ended with a small smile
playing on his pale lips.
Die smiled as well, before tilting his head slowly to gently kiss the
auburn prince.
Shinya smiled against his mouth, wrapping his arms around Die's neck,
pulling him closer.

Halfway across the forest, it wasn't as calm.

Inoran's eyes shifted from the trail to the man in front of him and
back again. Over and over again.
Over and over again until the blond man turned around and stared at
him.
"Why the fuck do you keep on looking at me like that?!"
"L-like what?" Ino mumbled, frightened of the lanky man in front of
him.
Why the hell had his master sent him off with this blond man - this
sexy, blond man - who was, at the moment, yelling at him.

"You keep on looking from me to the trail, and you need to stop it!"
".....why?...." Ino whispered, looking down. His long bangs fell
over his eyes, covering them and his blush.
"B-Because it throws me off!"
"I...I'm sorry..." came the quiet whisper.

J threw his hands into the air and began walking again.

"Come on. Lets keep moving, before the sun gets all the way into the
sky." he growled quietly, stalking off down the trail.

Inoran nodded, keeping his head down.

They kept walking like this for a good five minutes--until Ino
tripped on a large, very obvious stick, falling down to his knees,
twisting his ankle in the process, and letting out a small yelp.

"Goddamnit, my luck has surely flown today!" Ino wailed, pounding on
the grass path.

J turned to see what the commotion, only to find the smaller man
bawling his eyes out on the grassy path. He quickly ran over to see.

"I-Ino? What is the matter? Why are you crying? You couldn't possibly
be hurt that much?" J asked, putting a hand on Ino's shaking
shoulder. Ino shrugged it off.

"Don't touch me! This whole fucking day has been horrible!"
"...eh?"
"I said, DON'T TOUCH ME!" Ino's voice went high, frusturation and
pain weaving their ways into it. "It's all your fault I'm in this
mess! It's all your brother's fault that I'm even here!"
"What do you mean?" J asked, crouching down by the crying man.
"Master brings me out into the middle of nowhere, leaves me, comes
back and ignores me, and then has me go with a complete stranger off
into the forest to get yelled at!" the last part was in a near scream.
"In-"
"And Damnit, the one who is screaming at me has to be a very handsome
man..." a whisper, hands up to cover the eyes.
"H-handsome?" J nearly squeaked, face turning a nice shade of pink.

Ino nodded, face still covered by his hands.

"A very handsome man with a heart of gold underneath a heart of
tarnished silver..."

J leaned back on his heels, his face - now a brilliant magenta -
showed much thought on his part.
So the little man in front of him had told him he was handsome...and
was gentle....what was the world coming to?! How long had he known
Ino, thirty minutes? And already the little man was figuring out his
hidden heart?! A heart only his brothers knew?! He /NEVER/ showed
himself as gentle, never. Especially not to a stranger.

Just thinking about it made J insanely perplexed and a touch
frustrated.
"How?"

Ino looked up through his long bangs, his tears slowing into just a
small creek and not a river.
"How what?" his voice came out as a whisper.

"Ho-how did you figure me out so damned fast?" J asked, sitting
himself down next to the young servant, bending his head to be able
to look into Ino's face.

When Ino turned his head away, two strong, rough fingers brought his
chin up to look into the blonde's deep mahogany eyes.

"Tell me."

Ino was silent for a moment longer, dark eyes staring into the
equally as dark of eyes, before looking to the side.

"I.... I can see through your...your false personality..."

If J was astounded -and rest assured, he was- he didn't show it
outright.

"And what is my false personality?" he asked softly, bringing Ino's
attention back to him.

"Your false face is a personality of one that thinks that everything
that is alien to it is dangerous and needs to be taken care of..."

"And my true personality?

"....gentle....and very kind…."

J watched the young servant's face a short while longer before
bringing up one hand to brush a few of the long brown bangs that
covered the soft eyes. The hand then brushed the remaining of the
tears off his cheeks, making him blush.
The touch made Inoran look up once more.

Look up into the now smiling face of the blond.

//Waa....// Ino's mind more or less shut down. //...kirei...//

"Come on, we better be going, ne?" J asked, deep voice lower than
normal, as he helped the shy guy up, who nodded, gripping the hand
that was presented to him.

"Here, get onto my back, it'll be easier that way." J said, helping
the shy servant up onto his back, putting Ino's arms around his
neck. "Just please don't strangle me, k?" he said, turning his head
to smile at Inoran.

//Why's he being so nice to me all of the sudden...?//

"Aah, Kaoru-kun. I've seen you've found a new playmate."
Kaoru's head snapped up, eyes darting to find the speaker.

He had fallen asleep in a small clearing in the middle of the forest,
Toshiya snuggled into his arms.

He knew that voice.

"Why didn't you tell me? I thought you trusted me, Kaoru-kun." The
voice drawled on. The pink haired man could swear he heard a smile
in the dense forest.
He tightened his grip on the slumbering Toshiya.

"What do you want?" he growled, glaring into the trees. "Why are you
even here?!"

"Aww....that wasn't all that nice. You make it sound like you don't
know whom I am. All I want?" the voice paused, "Your big brother's
heart. You should know that by now."

"Why are you stalking me then?" Kaoru mumbled, hate boiling in the
back of his throat. He suddenly feared for the auburn haired prince
he had seen his brother with.

"Because you have the key to your brother's heart. And i know how to
get it."

"Is that so? And how would that be?"

Kaoru wished he hadn't said that the next moment, as he felt the
sleeping form in his arms start to fade. His eyes widened as
Toshiya's body slowly began to fade into small wisps of air, then
vanish.

"Tomorrow night is All Hallows Eve, Kaoru-kun. I shall be there.
Will you? I guess you shall have to, now won't you, to get back your
little lover, hmm?" The voice laughed. "Yes, I do believe you will.
Well, just tell your big brother to be there! So long for now, sweet
cakes!"

The voice faded out, a long laughter echoing through the forest.

"God DAMNIT!"
