RULES OF THE CONTEST
1. Only members of good standing of civic organizations are eligible to join the contest.
2. Each cities and municipalities of Metro Manila are eligible to send one contestant. Marikina, the host city, is allowed to send 4 contestants.
3. Contestants should be properly endorsed by their City Mayor or his/her representative.
4. Contestant will sing one Kundiman.
5. Marikina Rondalla will provide the accompaniment to all contestants, practice sessions with the Rondalla will be allowed before the contest thru the Marikina Cultral Office.
6. Attire is strictly formal Filipiniana.
7. Entry fee is Two Thousand Pesos (P2, 000) per contestant.
8. Contestant is entitled to 2 free dinner tickets for him and one chaperone. If he wishes to invite additional supporters, dinner tickets are available at the Marikina Cultural Office for P600.00 each. Since this is an exclusive dinner, no tickets will be sold at the gate.
9. Prizes will be as follows:
1st Prize = P20, 000 plus a Certificate with a title: Hari or Reyna ng
Kundiman ng Metro Manila 2008
2nd Prize = P15, 000 plus a Certificate with a title: Prinsipe or Prinsesa ng
Kundiman ng Metro Manila 2008
3rd Prize = P 10,000 plus a Certificate with a title: Maharlika ng Kundiman
ng Metro Manila 2008.
10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final. |
