Gundam Wing Episode 01

The first episode starts with a short history of the space colonies and their struggle for independance from the oppressive world government "the United Earth Sphere Alliance."

The gundams are launched to Earth in what was called "Operation Meteor". One of the gundam pilots, Heero Yuy, is caught by Lieutenant Zechs Merquise, who was monitoring "Operation Meteor". Zechs & Heero fight briefly then Zechs' two men try and fight Heero but are destroyed quickly with one shot from Heero's Buster Rifle. Zechs then drops his MS onto Heero's Gundam and ejects from it. Both suits & Heero drop into the ocean.

Also watching the arrival of Heero to Earth is Relena Darlian, the daughter of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs. Walking home from the spaceport later she finds Heero washed up on the beach and calls for an ambulance for him, but Heero gets away. Meanwhile all of the other pilots are attacking Alliance troops at different locations around the world. As this is happening, Zechs notifies his commanding officer, Treize Khushrenada, that he has encountered what he believes to be a gundam. Treize decides to keep the news quiet from the other senior officers of the Alliance.

Heero shows up again at Relena's school as a student the next day. He promptly tears up the birthday party invitation she gives him and tells her that he is going to kill her. At the end of the episode we see her watching him walk away as she wonders, "Who is this boy?"
