Gundam Wing Episode 02

Heero continues to impress Relena and her school friends with his aloofness and his talents. Meanwhile, Zechs and his men are in a recovery ship in the nearby harbor, searching for the ditched gundam. An unknown enemy begins an attack on Alliance mobile suits nearby. It's Duo Maxwell in gundam Deathscythe. Duo not only takes out all of the Federation suits, but manages to destroy a Alliance aircraft carrier as well. Zechs and his group of OZ soldiers press on to where Wing is lying on the ocean floor, but when one of the mobile suits touches it, an alarm starts to sound. Zechs rightly guesses that a self-destruct mechanism has been triggered. Enter Duo again, who takes out the OZ suits and deactivates the self-destruct. He decides that Wing will be his back-up mobile suit.

Heero uses the school's computers to find out where the torpedos are kept at the nearby military base, after which he promptly clears all of the information about himself in the school's database. From there he hitches a ride on the underside of a truck to the base itself. During all this, Relena's friends have gathered for her birthday party, which her father has to leave in order to attend a Alliance meeting about the gundams. When a boy gives Relena flowers and comments about seeing Heero near the base, Relena tells her friends to enjoy the party without her and heads out to find him.

Relena intercepts Heero as he's trying to get torpedos launced at Wing (he doens't want OZ to get their hands on it). He decides he's had enough of the irritation and prepares to shoot her, when he is shot by none other than Duo Maxwell, thinking he's saving Relena's life. Relena shows her gratitude by getting mad at Duo for shooting Heero, giving Heero the chance to launch the torpedos with himself on them. As the episode ends, he is lying face down in a few inches of water while Duo stands rather flabbergasted by his actions and Relena wonders, "Who are these people?"
