Gundam Wing Episode 28

The second of the two recap episodes, this one is narrarated by Treize Khushrenada and Lady Une. It begins with Treize being brought to the Romefeller HQ, where he is to be kept under house arrest for refusing to cooperate with Dermail's plans for OZ. He thinks about how the arrival of the pilots changed him and, ultimately, his destiny. He says, "Each move they made touched my heart," and then adds, "As did you, Zechs Marquise." He says that he is finally beginning to be free, and acknowledges that he put Zechs through an ordeal to gain his freedom.

Une then speaks of her work to convince the leaders of each colony to join OZ, and allow the organization to help them arm themselves, in the name of keeping the peace. She, too, speaks of Zechs and the gundam pilots and how they were the ones who were really changing the times. She recounts the difficulties she has had with Tsubarov and the mobile doll program, and how she came to realize that, just as Treize did, she despised the mobile dolls for what they represented: leadership that did not need strength and courage to fight; leadership that could be weak, but still stage bloody wars that had no meaning. And she recalls her final decision to stand against Tsubarov and free the gundam pilots, which led, of course, to her death.

Treize recalls this two, saying, "My beloved Lady, rest in peace." As what appears to be a ghost of her stands behind him in a darkened room, Treize stares at his computer screen and tells us that the actors are almost all chosen for the "third act," and now the only thing that remains if for the curtain to come up. As he says this, we see: 1) Quatre bring a somewhat lost Heero to Earth; 2) Dermail's "Operation Nova" commencing; 3) Relena and Noin in the Sank Kingdom; and 4) a new mobile suit, somewhere in Treize's compound. It looks as if it is kneeling and as the episode ends, the green light in its eyes flickers on.
