Should we be forced to recite the pledge?

 

            No, I do not think that it is something we should be forced to do, because it says “God” in it. I think that it is important to show support for our country, and be patriotic. However, I think that you should only force the general public to recite something everyday if it is written in such a way that respects all peoples beliefs. If the public is going to respect the country by reciting the pledge, the least that could be done, is for it to be written in a respectable way.

            The people in the country that believe in Gods, or no God, shouldn’t be forced to pledge allegiance under God. Especially in a public school it is especially controversial because religion should not be involved in any aspect of school according to the fairness of the law.

            Also, there are people who live in this country who don’t necessary respect the country or its government. These people should not be forced to support the country if they choose not to.
