The asthetics of fight club. I was discussing with McEntee who holds similar sociological beliefs about the way 'fight club' promotes a anarchist type belief structure which we both find interesting. In the face of the untouchable unstoppable force of big-brother SELF destruction seems the only way to show discontentment. However the only person who becomes a true example of self destruction is angel face where he sactrifices everything to become an example for the cause.
A space monkey doesnt shave his hair off (very rebelious!?) to give in to your beliefs and loose something as precious as your own vanity is a real test. McEntee and myself questioned whether we would have accepted ourselfs as an example of that kind, would you?
