I am writing you to ask you to join me in a day of fun, beautiful scenery, and physical challenge for a worthy cause. My name is Kale Watkins. I was an avid cyclist, and outdoorsman, until I was paralyzed in a snow-skiing accident in February, 2000. At that time, some close personal friends and cyclists organized a benefit bike ride for me to help with medical costs. This ride, the Tour De Kale2000[click here for details], was such a success that it has become an annual event to not only help me, but others in the community. Our belief is that the success of a bike ride depends on the opinions of the participants. Due to the fact that many of the organizers are avid cyclists along with a beautiful, challenging course through rolling foothills and a passion for detail, we feel confidant in our successes. Not to mention the rave reviews we've received from last years participants.
This year we have decided to include the Ricky Harris family as recipients of the benefits of the TDK. Mark and Michael Harris, twins of Denton, were born with a congenital heart disease. Their hospital bills are astronomical so we hope to help them with their quality of life.
