Royal Botanic Gardens

Return To The Menu

A lovely relaxing spring day, where you can be close to nature sound nice? if so, the Royal Botanic Gardens is well worth a visit. Situated just on the edge of Melbourne, next to the Yarra and surrounding a beautiful lake that features ducks, swans and ells, the gardens feature a huge variety of plants from all over the world. The children will love feeding the ducks and eels. Why not pack a picnic lunch and eat by the lake on the lush green lawns. It is a country garden, right in the heart of Melbourne!

Address: Birdwood Avenue, South Yarra, 3141.

My Recommendations: A great place to visit for a picnic lunch on a nice spring or summer day. Remember to take a little extra bread to feed the swans, ducks and eels. You may wish to take your own food as the kiosk is quite expensive, as you would expect.
