Opened in October 2000. The new Melbourne Museum is an education attraction not to be missed by young and old. The museum features many different displays such as the Bunjilaka aboriginal display, the huge living Forest Gallery, Famous Phar Lap plus the good old traditional dinosaurs. The Museum is located in the beautiful Carlton Gardens next to the old Royal Exhibition Buildings which were built in 1880's. A great contrast with old and new. also connected to the new museum is the IMAX theatre.
