CITY LINK

City Link is one of the most modern toll ways in the world, unlike most other toll ways, City Link is completely electronic, thus you do not have to stop you car and pay manually. Tolling works through sensors above the road that read what is called "E-Tags", these "E-Tags" are stuck to the windscreen of cars, and act like credit cars for tolling. 

 City link travels from the western side of the CBD to the eastern side, and is one of the main and fastest ways to get into Melbourne City.

If your car or hire car does not have an e-tag you can still use City Link, all you have to do is phone 13 26 29 and apply for a 'Day Pass'.
