The heart of the Festival, in the center of Tournai on the Main Square. It is the place where the groups have their meals all together, the place for the ball on tuesday evening, the show on wednesday evening for the families, the reception on sunday morning, the farewell party on sunday evening. It is a splendid monument of the 17th century.
The place of big shows (900 places) : saturday evening and sunday afternoon for the general public, wednesday, thursday and friday morning for schools, tuesday and thursday afternoon for elderly people.
It was the school of the first members of the group, in 1983. It gave its name to Les Infants du Catiau (the children of the castle, in tournaisian dialect). They still practice there, and it is their meeting point when they leave for a show.
The groups will have some meals and practice there, the days before the Festival.
Another school familiar to Les Infants du Catiau. The youngest among them practice there.
Some groups will have their meals and practice in that school, before the Festival.
It is reserved to groups who are not in families and have no bus : it is near the Hall of Drapers and the Culture Hall. It is an old historical building.
The meeting point for the buses, on the day of the arrival.
With its five towers, it is easy to locate. A roman and gothic splendor, begun in the 12th century.
Another landmark : the oldest belfry in Belgium (12th - 13th centuries). The groups dance at the bottom of the belfry on saturday morning.
A famous monument of Tournai (13th - 14th century).
