LANGKAWI ISLAND, MALAYSIA
    December 27, 2003 to January 3, 2004

TOWN OF LANGKAWI-KUAH (means in Malay "Gravy")

The Dataran Lang (Eagle square) is Langkawi's most prominent landmark

    The Port of Kuah

At the reddish brown eagle (helang-kawi in malay) of which the city derived its name

A stroll around the square beautifully landscaped

    Our rented car in Langkawi

    The Kuah Jetty

At the Telaga Tujuh (seven wells), the north western corner of Pulau or the 7 falls,
the lush greenforest that surrounds the waterfalls adds a mystical touch to the falls

The 630 steps to climb before reaching the falls...I almost gave up !!!!!
