After
three years of working and some changes in the line-up, TOXIC
establishes as a band in 2001, joining the scene of the Colombian
trash-death metal, through the recording of two songs in a
metal compilation known as "NoisePack", presented together
with other Colombian bands. The band features Carlos Altuzarra
and Juan Carlos Bravo on the guitars. Gomer Ramirez on the
drums, Mauricio Peņa on the bass and Miguel Romero as the
front-man. They have played many times sharing the stage with
other national bands. Among these presentations, it is important
to highlight the rock festivals "Hyntiba" 2002 and "rock al
parque" 2001 and 2002. By the end of 2002, TOXIC launched
its first independent album, titled "Sick of Silence" . It
includes six tracks characterized by their trash-death style,
and played by different local radio stations awakening the
interest of specialized critics.
