Nakia personally known as Setoya Jamerson, was born and raised from Cleveland, Ohio. When Setoya was born her father said "I knew she was going to be a star from the day she was born", When she was born most people thought she was chinese, her mother/manager said. She was a shy little girl, but then she would go out and sing in church with her grandmother : at the time her grandfather was a pastor of his own church, so we all would go to the church every sunday and she was sing, that was her way of connection and saying she lover her grandmother in that way. Growing up wasent easy for Setoya, she was a smart girl in 3rd grade she was put into Major Work's class. At that time when he grandmother died, she stoped singing. At age 11 began singing again, knowing that was the only way she would feel loved, and connection with her grandmother. Then Setoya and her friends would always get in a circle and take turns singing, "At first it was weird cus I didnt know what to expect, was they going to say something but then at the end they just hugged me and was smiling and was clapping that I can say put a smile on my face", she blew her 6th grade class away, then she formed a group called "Lil'Angels" with bestfriend Natasha, Rashida, Kerria, and Jasmine. Tryed to do show's but thing's didnt go well, so then Natasha and Setoya worked hard, but being a duo group and young was hard so they quit, Setoya still wrote songs, and praticed everyday. In the 7th grade Setoya met bestfriend Deanna & Octavia and formed the group "Untouchable" but re-named "Dynatic Chicks" But thing's wasent going well, and member Octavia wasent showing up for pratices and performances, so she left the group but re-maind close with the girls. They all preformed with the Cleveland Orchestra, this was Setoya 2nd year preoforming with them. Also she played 2 instruments in 5 grade, Clarinet & Flute and joined the Choir. Big Dramatic in 8th grade joined long time friend/cousion Angelique (Pimp The Niggas Collo.) & Deanna in group but thing's wasent going well, because again De'anna wasent able to pratice so then she was re-placed by 17 year old Shanalithia Lane they wrote song's as much as possible, and set pratice date's but never would pratice and then thats when "My Sister told me I need to be a solo artist, because she knows I can do it on my own since I do so much by myself, like setting performance dates, website, writting songs and raps, and stuff. But this wasent the first time I've been a solo artist" Nakia's says. Now being a solo artist, Nakia is devote, and dramatic about it. "Loving it, You dont have to wait on nobody to pratice or be there you can do it on you'r own time" Nakia's say. Being a solo artists has got Nakia many accomplishments and notcing alot more. Alot of people know I sing, and they support me and stuff. She even started her own Company BTH Productions/Entertainment that he helped runed by her and friends (Producers, Managers). "If I dont be a singer or rapper now when I get older I want to have my own record label make BTH offical, my own clothing line, write books, poetry, I love to write poetry and stores, be a producer of movies flims, and stuff anything dealing with music I wanna do I studied all the features about the Music Industry and thats what I wanna be something to make people have a reason to smile". Nakia says. She's a very talented person with a big heart so keep your eyes open because this young sassy singer will be on BET, MTV one day and hopefully it will be soon.
