Dress up your AE92 - by JET7

  • So you have a Toyota Corolla 1989-1990.. or otherwise known as the AE92.  What now?… now you ask yourself this question.. how do I make this car different from everyone?.. how do I make it feel special.. unique…

This article will shows you the way.. from changing the parts, knowing the parts, differentiating the parts.. and most of all .. locating the parts.

All parts displayed here are all applicable "BOLT-ON" to your beloved AE92 Corolla.

BUMPER/FRONT
  • The stock bumper, as stated.. the original bumps for the local variant
  • FX Type bumper, rare.. the distinguishing factor of this bumper is that it has a small nodge on the center, just above the grille.
  • LEVIN japan bumper, not widely used because this bumper has a squarish look on the edges.
  • JDM bumper, the most widely used, preferred bumper.  This has a thick black lining on the center that compliments with the thick moulding of the doors and fenders.
  • US Version extended bumper, another rare (sa pinas lang).. so extended this bumper you can even sit on it.
  • SPRINTER bumper, the most rare and very hard to come by bumper.  Looks very good on the FX face or Wagon face assembly.
BUMPER/REAR
  • STOCK rear bumper.. nuttin much to say.

  • JDM japan rear bumper.. most widely used, can also be used to match with the sprinter front bumpers.

  • US version rear bumper, another rare find.. again, so extended you can sit on it!

  • SPRINTER rear bumper, nothing much of a difference its just this has a nodge on the center that has a housing for the light of the plate of the plate number.
HEADLIGHT/GRILLE/FACE
  • STOCK face, straight inter-lacing lines with "C" emblem on the center

  • FX face, either has the FX emblem or the GT emblem, headlight differs from that of the stock and the clearance lamps has a squarish end and rectangular shape. This set-up face i think is the most expensive to build because of the parts you have to change..hood, fender, bumper.

  • SPRINTER face, totally different grille, headlight and clearance lamps.. looks like a nissan blue bird to me.

  • JDM japan face, basically uses the stock headlight and clearance lamps, though the grille is different.. the emblem has two types.. RED "C" emblem and the other is the WHITE "C" which i most prefer.

  • US version face, the headlight has a three "pimple" on the glass, the clearance lamp has a yellow on the edge.

  • Japan wagon face, widely seen on the streets with the "C" on the center.

  • Wagon face with SPRINTER "T" grille, a rare blend. If "S" Series is hard to come-by.. this is much more hard to find.

  • Wagon face with SPRINTER "S" grille, another rare.. The "S" symbolizing the old sprinter insignia.

REAR/UPPER PORTION
  • STOCK rear, factory ones have those all black garnishes for the plate number light. This one has a rear garnish.

  • JDM red-white rear garnish.. most prefferred.

  • US version rear.. rare sets are those that has all red rear garnish.

  • di ko alam ito..hehe.. kaso the plate has nevada on it.. so US? RARE! all black garnish.
