Charity Rides
The crew line up at the start of the famous Manchester to Blackpool ride... Where there's a charity ride the Trans Penniners won't be far away. Whether it be a Bike-Events ride or a Health-Start event, we'll be there. In fact we are up for anything and if you are organising an event click here and let us know about it. Best of all though, is the charity ride organised by ourselves - the wonderful "Over the Edge" ride every May. This ride takes in the stunning local scenery around Calderdale and the hills beyond. Originally masterminded by our club prezy David Geldard in aid of the British Heart Foundation it is now in its third year and going from strength to strength. Organised jointly by us and the BHF there are three rides - Gold, Silver and Bronze, to suit evryone from family potterers to iron-men (and women). This year (2001) the BHF representatives were moved to declare it their biggest event in the north of England so come on, get your entry forms ready next year and lets make it bigger and better than ever.
