Take the 11 3/8" length of 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe. Using the diagram below, measure and mark the points along the length where you'll be drilling the holes.

Once you've marked where the holes will be drilled in the pipe, you can begin drilling. Remember, the diameter of the holes given in the diagram are all approximate for a finished instrument. It is a good idea to drill the holes slightly smaller than shown and enlarge by hand, as needed, using a scraper or reamer when you're almost finished and tuning the instrument for a final time.
