As the lectures will be conducted in English with tutorials in Thai, participants should have background knowledge of physics, mathematics and English at least the intermediate undergraduate level. All lecture notes will be prepared in both Thai and English in parallel with the lectures. Lecturers, teachers and other interested students and people are also welcome to attend. Travel and subsistence expenses (accomodation, registration fee) of the participants should be responsible of individuals or their home institutions. Non-Naresuan undergraduate students will stay in the physics building during the school. Lunch, drinks, snacks will be provided throughout the duration of school. The internet access and reading area will also be provided in the school. The "normal" registration fee (if the registration fee is paid before 25 March 2002 ) is 2,600 Bahts for non-students (reimbursable from their home institutions) 200 Bahts for undergraduate students 500 Bahts for postgraduate students 100 US$ for foreign attendants Free of charge for NU Staff, students and Tptp members(but need to be registered, limited number allowed). The rate includes lunches, drinks, snacks and all course materials but not include the hotels. The "on-arrival" registration fee (if the attendants pay on their arrival ) will be more expensive. 3,100 Bahts for non-students(reimbursable from their home institutions) 300 Bahts for undergraduate students 600 Bahts for postgraduate students 120 US$ for foreign attendants Methods of payment: 1. There might be a short examination (optional) on the last day of the school. For time table, click here. :: Awards "CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION" will be issued by NU Department of Physics if attending more than 60% of the activity. "TptpC in Cosmology" (Optional) will be awarded by the Tptp group if the attendants are willing to take the assessment examination and can obtained at least 50% out of the examination. :: Venues and Date Lecture Hall, physics building, Science Complex, Naresuan University, Tah Poe, Phitsanulok, Thailand April 1-8, 2002 (8 days) (attendants should arrive on evening of 31of March 2002) :: Accommodations University Hostel rooms booking will be provided for all participants. The other hotel rooms will also be available. If you want a room in university hostel (cost about 300-400 Baht/night) or hotels (400-600 Baht/night), please fill in the application form and state clearly how long do you want to have a room for e.g. from between what dates. The hostel expense can again be reimbursed from the home institutions. Non-Naresuan undergraduate students will stay in the department of physics. We provide room for male/female students to stay for free. There are bathrooms and toilets in the department building. The sleeping room is in the back-packer but air condition and students need to prepare their own sleeping set by themselves. There will be one or two staff member and one security staying there with the students throughout the school period. For postgraduate students (M.S./M.Ed.), it will be optional for them whether they want to stay in Physics Building or having their own outside accommodation.
