The Wall Crawler Rock Club Day Trip

On February 16, 2002, the troop went on a day trip to The Wall Crawler Rock Club. The Wall Crawler Rock Club is an indoor rock climbing gym (on DeKalb Ave.) with 7,000-sq. ft. of climbing space.  It is located just outside of Little Five Points near downtown Atlanta.  The facility contains climbing walls that vary in steepness and difficulty to accommodate both experienced and novice climbers alike.

A Scout is Helpful

A Scout is Trustworthy

Each Scout received instruction from a staff member on climbing including how to tie off and belay, how to climb and boulder, and rope care and safety.  This class and fun activity allowed the Scouts to earn nearly all of the Climbing Merit Badge.  (Some first aid requirements will be passed later.)
