Nacogdoches Ghost Hike 2003
Ghosts of Nacogdoches Historical Trail, in Nacogdoches, Texas, is sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America. One of the most interesting and fascinating ways to learn American History is to walk where historic events occurred. Nacogdoches, Texas is the oldest town in Texas and has colorful past to explore and appreciate. Learn that the ghosts are still living spirits, legends of the Indians and the superstitions of the Spanish, Mexicans and Texans. The complete hike is approximately 8 miles long. Scout Troops interested in the trail need to have a group leader present and a tour permit. Awards are available to hikers completing the Trail. The trail is designed for ages 11 and up as there is physical exertion. A little Ghosts Trail Hike is available for Cub Scouts and other youth 1st - 5th grade. For more information on the trails, lodging and awards contact Clyde McCullough 409-564-6081.
