HISTORY CONTINUED

****Steiner Brothers were recognized as the first WCW Tag Tam Champs and the last NWA Tag Team Champs.

NOTES
Andersons were stripped of the titles.  A tournament was created to crown new champions.  Slaughter and Kernodle defeated Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki in the finals.
Titles became vacant when Steamboat retired in '83.  Kernodle & Orton Jr. defeated Dory Funk Jr. & Jimmy Valiant in a tournament to determine the new champs.
Any combination of Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff or Krusher Khrushchev were allowed to defend the titles.
Garvin & Hayes defeated Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane) in a tournament final to crown new champs.  Rotundo and Williams were stripped of the titles when Dan Spivey and Kevin Sullivan helped them beat the Road Warriors in May 1989.
Steiners were stripped of the titles and a tournament was held.  Bill Kazmaier & Rick Steiner lost to Anderson and Zbyszko in the final.
Syxx replaced Kevin Nash, who was injured.
Scott Hall turned on Kevin Nash, enabling the Giant and Sting to win the titles.
The Giant and Sting ended up on opposite sides of the NWO and could not defend the titles.  They were ordered to face eachother to determine the champion.  Sting chose Kevin Nash as his partner after winning the match.
Rick Steiner was didn't chose a partner.  After the match, he and Kenny Koas defended the titles.
Scott Steiner filled in for Scott Hall, who was unable to defend his half of the titles.
Both Rick Steiner and Kenny Koas were unable to defend the titles due to injury.  Benoit and Malenko faced off against Hennig and Windham in the finals of a tournament to determine the champs.
Raven could not defend his half because of an injury.  Kanyon filled in for him.  After losing the titles, Kanyon revealed an allegiance with DDP and Bigelow.  Together they formed the Triad.
The Triad: Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon, were allowed to defend the titles in any combination and they were allowed to interchange partners during the match.
The Outsiders were stripped of the title due to a Scott Hall injury.  David Flair and Crowbar win a Lethal Lottery Tag Team Tournament to become tag champs.
On 4-10-00, Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff vacated all titles.  Bagwell and Douglas defeated Ric Flair & Lex Luger in the finals of a tournament to win the titles.
Kronic stole the titles.  When Buff was suspended, Douglas named The Wall as his partner and challenged Kronic for the titles.
