Game 10: Starry, Starry Night | |||
Has anyone seen my keys? |

The 'Billies played the tenth game of the season under the lights and a starry sky. It was a cool breezy night, and baseball was in the air. The opposition was the top ranked Glacial Speed, who had just come off of a pasting of the Time Bandits, 32-6. The 'Billies came into the game still hurting from the shelacking administered by Rockall Gannets and were looking to restore some sense of self. The Glacial Speed started off strong, jumping to a big lead by the 4th. Thanks to the inspired third base coaching of newcomer Boomin' Barry Blackstockings, and an unusual amount of estrogen on the bench, the 'Billies managed to climb their way back into the game. Due to some smart hitting and even smarter base running, the 'Billies went to the bottom of the ninth with a slim 3 run lead, hoping to close out the game for the much needed win. Unfortunately, perhaps duing to the missing leadership and veteran savvy of Bubba Gump and Captain Ron, the Speed managed to spark a late inning rally and take the game.
