MATERIALS:

Yarn:  blue, white, and red
G hook
Tapestry needle
Fit in any boutique tissue box

SIDES (4)

       Row 1:  With blue, Ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, Ch 1, turn. (20 sc)

       Rows 2-7:  *Sc in the next 3 sc, change color to white, sc the next st, change color to blue*,
                        * rep across *, at the end of row 7, change color to red.

       Rows 8-16:  *Sc in the next 3 sc, change color to white, sc the next 3 sc, change color to red*,
                          * rep across *, at the end of row 16, fasten off.

CEILING

       Row 1:  With blue, Ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each sc across, turn. (20 sc)

       Rows 2-5:  Ch 1, sc in ea st across, turn.

       Row 6:  For first side, ch 1, sc in first 6 sts leaving last 14 sts unworked.  Turn. (6)

       Rows 7-12:  Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.  At end of last row.  Fasten off. (6)

       Row 6:  For chimney opening, skip next 8 unworked sts on row 5; for second side, join blue with
                   sc in next unworked sts, sc in each st across. Turn. (6)

       Rows 7-12:  Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (6)

       Row 13:  Ch 1, sc in first sts, ch 8, sc in next 6 sts on first side, turn.  (12 sc, 8 chs)

       Row 14:  Ch 1, sc in each st  and in each ch across, turn. (20)

       Rows 15-18:  Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.  At end of last row, fasten off.

Sew the sides and ceiling with matching sts and color.

BRIM OF THE HAT

       Rnd 1:  Turned the hat upside down, sc in any sc, sc in each sc around.  Place your marker.

       Rnds 2-6:  Sc in each sc around, fasten off.
