Chimney
NOTE: Work in continuous rnds, do not join or turn unless otherwise stated.  Mark first st of each rnd.
Rnd 1: Join red with sc in first unworked st on row 5 of Ceiling, sc in next 8 sts; working in ends of rows, sc in next 7 rows; working in remaining lps on opposite side of ch-8 on row 13, sc in next 8 chs; working in ends of rows, sc in last 7 rows. (30 sc made)
Rnds 2-4: Dc front post.  Dc fp around post of first st, dc fp around each st around.
Rnd 5: Sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc.  Fasten off.
Rnd 6: For snow trim, join white with sc in first st, 3 dc in next st, (sc in next st, 3 dc in next st) around, join.  Fasten off.


ASSEMBLY
Matching long edges, working through both thicknesses and in ends of rows, alternating Sides, with white, sc Side pieces wrong sides together forming a box.
With red and Chimney facing up, se Ceiling to top edges on Side B pieces and to row 22 on gable of Side A pieces.


Window (make 2)

Row 1: With yellow, ch 8, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (7 sc made)
Rows 2-8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.  At end of last row, fasten off.
Rnd 9: Working in rnds, starting at bottom, join white with sc in end of first row, sc in end of next 7 rows, 3 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, 3 sc in last st; working end of rows, sc in last 8 rows; for snow trim, working in remaining lps on opposite side of starting ch, sc in first ch (ch 3, sc in next ch) 6 times, ch 3, join with sl st in first sc.  Fasten off.

NOTE: For slip st trim, with white, place slip knot on wrong side of work; insert hook and pull lp of knot through to front of work, insert hook through to back of work, yo, pull through work and lp on hook.
For window panes, working vertical, starting at center bottom on row 1 of Window, work slip st trim (see Note) across ending at center of row 7.  Fasten off.  Horizontally, starting at one end between rows 4 and 5, work slip st trim across ending at opposite end.  Fasten off.
With white, sew Window centered over rows 6-16 on Side B leaving snow trim unsewn.

Porch
Rnd 1: With tan, ch 6, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st in top of ch-3 (12 dc made)
Rnd 2: (Ch 3, dc) in first st, 2 dc in each st around, join. (24)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around, join with sl st in first sc. (36)
Row 4: Fold in half, working in rows through both thicknesses, sc in each of first 2 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) across.  Fasten off.
With tan, and matching sts, sew fold centered to bottom of one Side A for front.

Bottom Snow Trim
With top of House facing you, join white with sl st in last st at bottom edge of Porch on left-hand side, sc in next st in bottom of Side A, ch 3; working in sts on Sides A and B, sc in next st, (ch 3, sc in next st) around to opposite side of Porch, sl st in first st on Porch.  Fasten off.

Porch Roof
Row 1: With red, ch 13, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across  to last ch, 2 sc in last ch, turn. (14 sc made)
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last st, 2 sc in last st, turn.  At end of last row, fasten off. (16, 18)
Row 4: For snow trim, join white with sc in first st, 4 dc in next st, (sc in next st, 4 dc in next st) across.  Fasten off.

With red, sew ends of rows and bottom of row 1 over rows 17-24 on front with ends 3 ½” apart.

For
Door, starting at bottom between sixth and seventh sts on front, work slip st trim up to row 17, across next 8 sts and back down to row 1.

With white, embroider French knot between rows 8 and 9 one stitch from Door (see photo).  Or you can use small pom pom for a door knob.
