BIO

Carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor found her way to Trading Spaces from the stage. Amy Wynn's experience in theater began first as an aspiring actor, but soon found the behind-the-scenes work more compelling. She's traveled the nation with a variety of theater productions as a scenic carpenter and prop supervisor — a perfect combination of skills for our Trading Spaces carpenter!

Professional Background Amy Wynn earned her bachelors degree from Penn State in 1999. Though she acted in television commercials as a child, she spent most of her young professional life working behind the scenes in set design and construction for both local theatre and traveling Broadway productions.

Personal History The youngest member of the Trading Spaces cast, Amy Wynn Pastor was born May 9, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The youngest of two daughters of a professional freelance musician/educator father and an educator mother, Amy Wynn attended a Quaker school as a child growing up in Pennsylvania. In addition to the heavy lifting she performs on-set, Amy Wynn likes to keep in-shape by practicing yoga. (TS Website)

CARTER OOSTERHOUSE

BIO

Carpenter Carter Oosterhouse, is known for his easygoing attitude, effortless charm and eye for tackling challenging carpentry projects. Carter learned his craft from an early age when he began apprenticing under his neighbor, himself a master carpenter. It was an education that continued through college and has shaped Carter into a largely self-taught craftsman.

Personal Backgroud Born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan, Carter is the youngest of four children. Carter began learning carpentry skills when, at age 11, he began apprenticing with his next door neighbor, a carpenter. Carter continued his apprenticeship and continued working in construction and carpentry, on and off, throughout high school and college. His other passion has always been athletics of all kinds. His favorite sports are basketball and rugby, which he often plays with his buddies during downtime. He'll also play baseball from time to time and is an avid professional basketball and hockey fan. Carter is an expert at kayaking and sailing and hits the water whenever he can.

Professional HistoryCarter received his bachelor's degree from Central Michigan College, where he studied Nutrition and Communications. After college, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film; his first job was working behind-the-scenes for Project Greenlight, as a production assistant and tape coordinator. Jobs in modeling and acting soon followed. Carter has appeared in independent films, print campaigns for Nivea, Lincoln, Hewlett Packard and Miller Light and television advertisements for Bud Light, Nivea and Treasure Island in Las Vegas. He joins the cast of Trading Spaces for the series' fourth season and for the new Sunday-night Trading Spaces: Family. (TS Website)

FABER DEWAR

BIO

Carpenter and furniture maker Faber Dewar joined the cast of Trading Spaces in November 2003. A Scotsman who has been raised to value hand-craftsmanship, Faber prides himself his resourcefulness, believing that inspiration can be found just about anywhere. Woodworking and furniture making is his true passion, and he's thrilled to be able to indulge that passion on Trading Spaces.

Professional Background A self-taught craftsman, Faber began tinkering around in the garage of his home in England at a very early age. After studying in England and eventually moving to Hawaii to pursue marine biology, he began renovating old houses and both buying and restoring antique furniture. Faber moved to Los Angeles in 1995 and started his furniture business, Alderley Edge, in Venice Beach. There's a distinct Japanese arts and crafts influence in his work, and he has done pieces for many Hollywood celebs including Steven Spielberg and Pierce Brosnan. In addition, Faber recently founded a biodegradable packaging company called Vanish Products and Packaging.

Personal Background Faber was raised a small village called Chislehurst, just south of London, though both parents are of Scottish descent. He attended university in England, then moved to Hawaii ... falling in love with diving, surfing and spearfishing in the meantime. Though circumstances eventually brought him back to England, he has retained his passion for all things ocean related, and continues to enjoy watersports in his travels to remote islands and beaches around the world. He also enjoys fencing and archery, and is the owner of a yellow lab named Jake.(TS Website)
