This recreation area is overseen by the
Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department and is located in Cavecreek, Arizona
 | Basic Conditions:
 | 11 miles of well marked trails loop around
through the desert. Footing is sandy and rocky with flat and hills.

 | There is a horse staging area with a large
gravel lot to accomodate trailers and hitching rails for your horse.
|
 | I rented a horse for this adventure from
the concessionnaire at the park - Cave Creek
Trail Rides. They provide guided trail rides from October through May. They are
located just inside the park at number "10" on the map.
